Your AusBizIndex Score: What It Means and What to Do About It

The diagnostic tells you where you are. This article tells you what to do next.

ScaleKorp Advisory Team · June 2026 · 6 min

The AusBizIndex diagnostic scores your business across seven divisions — executive, finance, operations, HR, sales, client experience, and compliance. Each division receives a score between 0 and 100. Here is what each score band means in practical terms — and the recommended pathway at each level.

The seven divisions

Executive: How decisions get made. Finance: How money is tracked, collected, and forecasted. Operations: How work gets delivered. HR: How staff are found, onboarded, managed, and retained. Sales: How clients are found, quoted, and converted. Client Experience: How clients are communicated with and retained. Compliance: How company obligations are tracked and renewed proactively.

Most business owners score well in one or two divisions — the ones they personally focus on. The gaps show up in the rest.

Score bands — what they mean

80–100: This division is structured and largely systemised. Maintain the system. Review quarterly. 60–79: The system exists partially. It works when you're watching. Document what's informal and add accountability tracking. 40–59: Running on instinct and habit. This is a Foundation priority. 20–39: Reactive. Problems handled as they appear. Start here — cost is bleeding. 0–19: Largely absent or broken. Highest-priority installation.

Your highest-performing division doesn't define the health of your business. Your lowest one does.

What happens after the diagnostic

Score under 60 in any division: ScaleKorp recommends a Foundation engagement — full OS installation starting with your lowest-scoring area. Score 60–75 across all divisions: Pre-Foundation pathway — targeted gap closure. Score above 75 across all divisions: ScaleKorp Scale pathway — building the growth layer on top of what's already working. The diagnostic is the start. It does not make any commitment for you. It just tells you where you are.
